5 Simple Rules for Using Affirmations Correctly
The correct use of affirmations within the concept of conscious or deliberate manifestation is fairly important if you want to reprogram the subconscious mind according to your desires. Affirmations are essentially stated concepts that are used as a means to rewire your subconscious to work for you and as such, to create your own life by design. The average person is estimated to think between 6,000-60,000 thoughts per day; some studies suggest as many as 70,000. All day long, the majority of people are mindlessly thinking all sorts of thoughts, yet unaware that a great number of them are creating their future tomorrow, the day thereafter and the next 10, 20 years etc to come.. Wouldn’t it therefore be much more beneficial to finally start purposely thinking, in your own favour? In fact, I’d hate to be the one to break your cosy pink bubble but unless you do so, you are destined to be a slave to your very own detriment; you’ll unknowingly be forced to act out in ways that in many different aspects doesn’t support you, as you’ll, just like a zombie, think and physically behave nót like the real you but the you who has been programmed to become the person that you now are.
That goes to say, you are not really who you think you are, for the most part. Who you are on the surface is a set of programs consisting of repeated thought patterns, beliefs, assumptions, impressed ideas etc. You are only that which you have conditioned yourself to be, whether on purpose or not. Many of these impressions have also entered your subconscious through outside sources; such as your immediate environment, family members, friends, social media etc. Since the subconscious mind contains at least 95% of your daily thoughts and habits and runs on these automatic programs (beliefs), it’d be fair to say that it would highly work in your best interest to become the server of your own mind instead of being the servant of it; only as the server will you be able to direct the subconscious mind to do the favourable work for you and become master of your faith and destiny.
Affirmation rule number 1:
Affirm always and only from the desired state
When you begin to think on purpose (a.k.a “affirm”), you only want to do so from the desired state of consciousness that you want to occupy, for whom and through whom your desires are already true. Meaning, you first figure out which state that is by knowing what it is that you exactly want to manifest. F.e: if you want to manifest a brand new sports car, start thinking fróm that state as the person who already owns that car and match each one of your thoughts, feelings and actions to that state of consciousness. This step is crucial because only by becoming in consciousness itself or at least seeing yourself in imagination with that new car and thinking and feeling as if the car is already a present fact in your life, will you start attracting it. However, it is better to first become the person who already has the car inside your own mind and start acting as that person in all the ways that you can, rather than waiting for it to happen because the real game of life is the “feeling as if” part: anything we do or want in life, we do or desire it because if makes us feel some type of way; if you can then experience the manifestation in imagination first before it happens in real life, you have already experienced what it’d feel like to have it and thus the journey not only becomes more enjoyable and exciting, you also especially overtime tend to exelerate the manifestation process, the more you live in the moment as if everything you want is already “done”.
Affirmation rule number 2:
Affirm only because it feels good
You only affirm when ánd because it feels good; not because you feel like you “have to” in order to change your self-concept and outside circumstances in the 3D world to get what you want. Make no mistake, you do must consciously change your thoughts (inner conversations) if you want to see anything significant change in your life but this should come from a state of “naturalness” rather than force; you should only affirm because it’s fun and pleasant to do so, not because you desperately want your reality to change. The reason why is because if you affirm out of desperation, there are no actual heartfelt emotions behind your affirmations that will attract your desired reality; the only emotions you’re generating in contrast, are the emotions that will surely repel your desires, as you’re feeling the effects of your current reality where what you want is lacking. In other words, when you don’t feel like affirming, don’t do it. When you do feel like it, do it as much as you want and have fun with it. The key rule with affirmations is that they should make you feel good when you use them; the point of using them in the first place is to make you feel better and help you attract your desires. They sure might cause some uneasiness at the beginning if you’re still new to consciously creating your life but it should never feel like a job or a burden upon your shoulders.

Affirmation rule number 3:
Affirm repeatedly when feeling inspired only
Repeatedly affirming your desires should only ever be done when feeling inspired, never in any other case. I’ve just discussed the specifics of why affirmations should only be used this way in rule number 2; done otherwise could in essence cause averse or simply null results; not to say that you can not or will not get results if you were to affirm let's say on a rampage but it’s important to remember that it’s the energy behind what you’re doing at all times that will determine whether you get what you want or not, not the manifestation technique itself. By affirming repeatedly or as some call “robotically affirming” your desires, you are essentially on loop repeating the same statements over and over again, with the intent that your subconscious will accept them as fast as possible. This as said before, can work but generally speaking this sort of act causes too much action and unnecessary mental overexhaustion because it’s not required for you to mentally wise work so hard for your subconscious to accept that what you want is a done deal. This also is not a natural way of manifesting and is not sustainable in the long run; all you need to do is set one firm and clear intention, let it go (release all expectations as to how or when it will come) and believe that you will receive it. That is the natural course of how conscious manifestation works anyway; you decide what you want and allow it to come to you with acceptance and belief that it will. Any other method might work but many times adds on too much unnecessary weight, while attracting whatever you want should be as natural and effortless as it can be.
Affirmation rule number 4:
Only use affirmations that resonate with you
Manifestation is a natural universal process and going along with the flow of positive energy is therefore essential. That is why you want to make it a habit of only using those affirmations that include specific words and messages that match your personal desires. This may sound obvious but very often people will come across affirmations online that were created by others and are given away for free to use but that doesn’t mean that you should just cope and paste them for yourself. Remember that each individual such as yourself is completely unique and different from somebody else and so you have to use discernment and go with whatever suits and compliments you best. You can of course easily copy other people but it’s not much of a job to just think about what definitions you want to be true for you, in order to create the specific outcomes you want. Each word has it own energetic signature, its own vibe and meaning and so you need to come up with what resonates most with you as an individual, not anyone else. Furthermore, everything carries a vibration; even something seemingly insignificant as a simple four-letter word. Therefore you should always think and consider wisely whatever words and thoughts you choose to entertain, for they shape your reality with every bit of energy they contain.
Affirmation rule number 5:
Use affirmations in subliminal programming
This is probably the holy grail secret of all and it’s subliminal programming. Every adult that exists now on planet Earth has been blessed with this gift that the internet has provided us with and it’s (hidden) affirmations that are specifically used in certain audio video recordings, with the intent to reprogram the subconscious mind. You can make your own subliminals and choose your own affirmations to put in them but there are also tons of videos on Youtube for free that you can watch and listen to that are subliminals; it’s no exaggeration that there exist uploaded subliminal videos for almost every desire you'd possibly want to manifest; from perfect health, confidence, beauty, money etc. Often times they are also very visually appealing with images included of the things you want, nice upbeat complimentary songs, which makes listening to them all the more a pleasant experience. Ideally you should listen to these every day, especially right after waking up and before going to sleep on loop for at least about an hour and also during sleep, as this will rewire your subconscious beliefs much more rapidly. It’s recommended to also make a playlist and categorize them; this way you get more organized and you can simply choose a playlist and play each video in it one by one, depending on your mood and what you want to focus more on to attract in that moment.
